Pranam Devaraj, son of popular actor Devaraj, has come on board for a Kannada, Telugu bilingual to be directed by a debutant Shankar. Hari Goud is bankrolling the film under Hari Creations, touted to be a family entertainer. Tentatively titled Production No 1, the project was formally launched today in the presence of cast, crew and several dignitaries from the film industry.

The grand launch event brought together actor Akash Puri, who sounded the clapboard for the first shot, while Devaraj switched on the camera. Tanikella Bharani formally handed over the script to the team and also directed the sequence. Shekhar Chandra will compose the music for the entertainer, which has cinematography and be edited by Bala Saraswathi and Sri Varkala respectively.

Expressing his happiness at the launch, Pranam Devaraj called the film a perfect family entertainer, that’s a cocktail of romance and action. Director Shankar thanked the producer Hari Goud for roping him for the film and said that the entertainer would unfold amidst a rural backdrop. To be simultaneously shot in Kannada and Telugu, the film takes off in Hyderabad and Vizag this month.

The producers, who make their film production debut with the project thanked Tanikella Bharani, Narasimha Reddy, Akash Puri, Devaraj garu for gracing the event. Devaraj stated that director Shankar has written a wonderful story and praised the producer Hari Goud is a man with good creative taste, while wishing and blessing the team ahead of the shoot.

Suman and Ravi Sivateja essay other crucial roles in the film. Natarajan is the stunt choreographer for the project with Jeethu (master) supervising the dance moves. Murali Krishna is the art director. The other members of the crew include the executive producer Vishwa Teja, and production controller Aravind Reddy. Pranam Devaraj has previously acted in Vairam and Kumari 21F.
