The Malayalam film Prappeda has finally made it to the digital space today (March 17). The 2022 film is now available to stream on C Space OTT. Krishnendu Kalesh has directed this movie, which won various accolades at film festivals across the world.

Following its premiere at several festivals, Prappeda (Hawk's Muffin) was praised for its appealing storyline and layers of political and historical undertones. The film's creators have also deftly combined themes of capitalism, eco-fascism, love, and war with an experimental narrative style. Prappeda's cinematic experience is further enhanced by the visual approach. Although there are not as many conversations in this film, the solid performances give it life.

Plot of Prappeda

Ruby looks after her paralysed mother in a greenhouse set in a somewhat dystopian future that belonged to her great-grandfather. Ruby's violent stepfather, a former hunter employed by her grandfather, is in charge of their lives. Their existence is further governed by a pastor.

Tensions increase and secrets come to light when two unexpected outsiders—a police officer and an enigmatic person—arrive. A battle between annihilation and harmony is fought on the disputed territory as a result of a series of strange and magical occurrences that are all related to the curse of a small turtle.

Cast and crew of Prappeda
