Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram will be released in theatres in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi on June 3. The big budget action film produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International stars the veteran actor-filmmaker in the lead, while Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain and Kalidas will essay key roles in it.

Suriya's cameo is said to be one of the most expected highlights of the movie which has music by Anirudh, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, action choreography by Anbariv, editing by Philomin Raj and dance choreography by Sandy. The movie's promotional activities have been going on in full swing.

It was officially announced earlier that Disney+ Hotstar has bagged digital rights of the movie. Though there were reports earlier that the makers have signed a 112 crores deal with the digital and satellite platform, we now hear that the amount is around 200 crores.

Star Vijay has acquired the satellite rights of the film in multiple languages. This is said to be the highest post theatrical business for a Kamal Haasan-starrer till date. The project is expected to release in more than 5,000 screens, going by what Kamal himself had revealed in a recent press interaction.

Udhayanidhi has bagged theatrical rights of Vikram in Tamil Nadu, while Sudhakar Reddy, who has acquired Telugu rights, had recently confirmed that the movie will release in more than 400 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is Shibu Thameens who has bagged the movie's rights in Kerala.

The producer-distributor was in the news last time when he bagged the theatrical rights of Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR in Kerala. Vikram is expected to take the third biggest opening this year for a Tamil film after Ajith's Valimai and Vijay's Beast. The number of theatres in the state where the film will release is likely to be announced in a few days' time.
