Premalu Box Office Day 10 – Naslen, Mamitha Baiju’s film collects Rs. 41 crore worldwide

Premalu, the romantic comedy which features young actors Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, has emerged as the surprise blockbuster of 2024. The Girish AD directorial, which was reportedly made with a minimal budget, has now emerged as one of the most profitable projects produced by Malayalam cinema in the recent past. The excellent reviews from both audiences and critics, have highly helped the film in performing even better, on its second weekend at the box office.

As per the latest updates, Premalu, which is jointly produced by the popular actor Fahadh Faasil and filmmaker-turned-actor Dileesh Pothan, has now crossed the Rs. 40-crore mark at the worldwide box office. The Naslen-Mamitha Baiju starrer is clearly on its way to join the glorious Rs. 50 crore club of Malayalam cinema.

Premalu mints Rs 41 crore at the worldwide box office

As per the recent updates from the trade experts, the romantic comedy which hit the theatres on February 9, 2024, has made a total collection of Rs 41 crore at the worldwide box office. Premalu crossed the Rs 40-crore mark at the box office, within the first 10 days of its release. Interestingly, the Naslen-Mamitha Baiju-starrer minted a total collection of Rs 22.37 crore from the Kerala box office alone, when it completed the second weekend at the theatres. Interestingly, the Girish AD directorial collected around Rs 3.52 crore on February 18, Sunday, from the state.

The recent reports suggest that Premalu minted around Rs 24 crore from the domestic box office, which includes Kerala and the rest of India centers. When it completes the 10 days of its release, the romantic comedy has collected around Rs 17 crore from the overseas releasing centers. If Premalu continues its good run, the blockbuster movie will enter the prestigious Rs 50 crore club of Malayalam cinema in a couple of days. It also has the potential to cross the Rs 70-crore mark worldwide, with its final collection.

Premalu features Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Althaf Salim, Mathew Thomas, and others in key roles. Ajmal Sabu is the director of photography. Vishnu Vijay has composed the songs and original score. Akash Joseph Varghese handled the editing. The Naslen-Mamitha Baiju-starrer is expected to have its OTT release in March 2024.
