Premalu Box Office Day 15 – Naslen, Mamitha Baiju’s film mints Rs. 58 crore worldwide

Premalu, the romantic comedy that features Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in lead roles, has already earned blockbuster status at the box office. The Girish AD directorial, which was released without massive pre-release hype, has now emerged as the highest-grossing film of 2024 so far. The excellent reviews and word-of-mouth publicity have heavily helped the film perform extremely well at the box office, especially in its second and third weeks of release.

As per the recent updates from trade experts, Premalu has now crossed the Rs. 58 crore mark at the worldwide box office within the first 15 days of its release. Now, it has also been confirmed that the celebrated romantic comedy will cross the Rs. 60 crore mark at the box office on its 16th day in theatres.

Premalu crosses Rs. 58 crore mark in 15 days

According to recent updates from trade experts, Premalu made a total collection of around Rs. 4 crore on its 15th day at the theatres from the worldwide box office. The Girish AD directorial has thus crossed the Rs. 58 crore mark worldwide within the first 15 days of its release. It is remarkable how romantic comedy performed even on weekdays, thanks to the extraordinary word-of-mouth publicity. Notably, the Naslen-Mamitha Baiju starrer has only been released in Malayalam so far.

Premalu to cross Rs. 60 crore mark on Day 16

So, it is now safe to assume that Premalu will cross the Rs. 60 crore mark at the box office today, on its 16th day in theatres. In that case, the total worldwide collection of the romantic comedy might exceed Rs. 65 crore by the end of this weekend. If things proceed at the same rate, Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film will easily cross the Rs. 70 crore mark by the end of the week and the Rs. 75 crore mark by the next weekend, worldwide.

The movie, which was penned by director Girish AD himself, features Naslen and Mamitha in the roles of Sachin and his lady love, Reenu. Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Althaf Salim, Mathew Thomas, and others appear in the supporting roles. The movie is jointly produced by the banners Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Bhavana Studios. Premalu is slated to have its OTT release in March 2024, after completing its theatrical run.
