Actor Naslen said in an interview with The Cue that playing Sachin in the upcoming Malayalam movie Premalu will mark a significant turning point in his acting career. After reading the script for the first time, he added that he was inspired to play the role because he loved it.
“After seeing the movie in theatres, people will understand why I am confident this character will elevate my acting to a new level," he added.
The actor, who made his acting debut in Girish AD's first directorial, Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, expressed his happiness at collaborating with the director and crew once more. He continued, "I have worked with all of them before, so being on the set again was a unique experience.” Naslen said that he had to take some flak for it because they were all his friends.
He went on to say that, despite some people's biased opinions, people should not stop going to see Premalu in theatres. According to Naslen, reviews are just one person's opinion about a movie and have no bearing whatsoever on whether a film succeeds or fails.
The Super Sharanya actor said he does not give fame much thought when asked how he handles it at such a young age. He stated that he wanted to work with more talented directors and writers on more films. "I would adore to continue working on new characters and subjects that would entertain the audience," he continued.
Naslen’s other upcoming project, I am Kathalan, is also directed by Girish AD and is slated to release soon. He will also appear in a prominent role in Khalid Rahman’s next flick.
