Premgi replies to Love Today director Pradeep's eight-year old tweet, duo's banter leaves Twitterati in splits

Pradeep Ranganathan's acting debut Love Today, which also has him helming it, has turned out to be a big money spinner at the box office. The movie is the biggest Tamil hit movie in terms of profit in recent times, and its Telugu version is expected to hit the screens soon.

The young actor-filmmaker has been receiving appreciation from several quarters, including the likes of Rajinikanth. Many have been eagerly waiting for the announcement on his next project. But in an unexpected turn of events, a few old posts from his Facebook account started doing the rounds on social media.

He was trolled massively on Twitter for abusing a few film and cricket celebrities many years ago. Pradeep deactivated his Facebook page and took to Twitter to clarify that some of the posts that are going viral are fake, and that he has become a better person today.

Meanwhile, a few of his old tweets requesting many Kollywood celebs to share his short film are also going viral. Interestingly, the film Love Today is based on one of the short films which he made a few years ago. Premgi Amaren, who is known for his quirky tweets, replied to Pradeep's eight-year old post, and sought an acting opportunity in the latter's next movie.

Needless to say, netizens went gaga over his late funny reply. An elated Pradeep replied back with the tweet, "Sirrrr… Thankyou so much . It takes a lot of heart to post this . Means a lot .  I want to make you say “Enna koduma sir idhu (sic)."

Now, Twitterati is looking forward to knowing if Premgi will be seen in a notable role in Pradeep's next outing.
