The movie, produced by Ashiq Usman, is expected to go on floors by the end of this year

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming films will have the actor globe-trotting. The actor, who is currently gearing up to resume the shoot of Blessy’s Aadujeevitham in Jordan and Algeria, will also be shooting in Maldives for John Paul George’s upcoming Malayalam that will go on floors later in the year.
The news was confirmed by producer Ashiq Usman, who will be bankrolling the big-budget project. The yet-to-be-titled film will not be the Guppy and Ambili director’s next as he is gearing up for his Tamil directorial debut this year too.
Prithviraj, meanwhile, has a slew of big films lined up after he completes shooting for Aadujeevitham by April. He is also set to begin the pre-production of Empuraan as well as his webseries based on Biscuit Baron Rajan Pillai that he will act and direct in.
He has right now completed shoot of Shaji Kailas’ Kaduva, Dijo Jose Antony’s Jana Gana Mana and Alphonse Puthren’s Gold, which also has Nayanthara in the lead. Up next, he has Jayan Nambiar’s Vilayath Buddha and Venu’s Kappa , which is produced by FEFKA and has Asif Ali, Manju Warrier and Anna Ben as part of the film. Both movies are based on GR Indugopan’s novels.
The upcoming John Paul George and Prithviraj-starrer is among the five big projects that Ashiq will be producing. He has also announced a movie with Fahadh Faasil that Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela director Althaf Salim will be helming, a movie with Kunchacko Boban that is directed by Nonsense filmmaker MC Jithin, Midhun Manuel Thomas’ Anjaam Pathiraa sequel titled Aaraam Pathiraa and Tovino Thomas’ Thallumala. He is also co-producing Vineeth Kumar’s mystery drama that has Tovino, Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran in the lead.
Of these, Thallumala, which is directed by Khalid Rahman and has Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead, will be the first to hit theatres, with the makers aiming at an Eid release in May 2022.
