Director TK Rajeev Kumar’s upcoming movie Bermuda promises to be a vibrant, feel-good film filled with quirky characters. The trailer of the film, starring Shane Nigam and Vinay Forrt in the lead roles, was released by Prithviraj Sukumaran through his social media page on Sunday.
The promo video promises an entertaining mystery surrounding a youngster in Thiruvananthapuram and a cop who is apparently out in search of someone or something. The tagline of the movie – Mysteries of the Missing – suggests that the film will have mystery elements but not as part of a thriller but a quirky comedy.
Apart from Shane and Vinay, the movie has a stellar supporting cast including Niranjana Anoop, Saiju Kurup, Gowri Nanda, Noorin Shereef, Sudheer Karamana, Nandu, Indrans and Dharmajan Bolghatty. The movie was initially set to hit theatres on July 29 but has been postponed to August 19. This would avoid a clash with Suresh Gopi’s Paappan.
In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Shane had talked about how working with veteran filmmakers such as TK Rajeev Kumar has been helping him as an actor. On working with experienced directors, Shane said, “In my career so far, I have mostly worked with new directors. When you are working with experienced directors such as TK Rajeev Kumar sir and Shaji N Karun sir (in Oolu), you also grow as an actor and a filmmaker.”
Shane is also set to work with Priyadarshan for his next thriller, which also has Shine Tom Chacko as part of its cast. The movie, which is set to go on floors in August, is scripted, directed and co-produced by Priyadarshan. The actor is currently shooting for debutant Syam Sasi’s thriller, which also has Sidharth Bharathan and Sunny Wayne. Shane will be seen in the role of a civil police officer in the movie, which is backed by Puzhu producer S George.
