Silambarasan's much-expected film Pathu Thala was supposed to hit the screens in December, but makers decided to postpone their plans owing to delay in post production works. They had announced recently that the gangster drama will be released on March 30.
Now, Priya Bhavani Shankar has come up with a surprise update for fans. The actress, who plays the female lead in the movie, has revealed that she has completed dubbing for her portions. She took to her Twitter page to inform the same and posted a few pics from the dubbing studio.
The director of the project, Obeli N Krishna, is also seen along with her in the photos. Priya thanked him profusely for the experience. She wrote, "That’s a dubbing wrap for #PathuThala Thank you @nameis_krishna sir and the entire team for making the experience a fun and lovely. Let us all have a happy start to a happiest new year (sic)."
The movie has been bankrolled by Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green; its digital rights were bagged by Amazon Prime Video recently. Gautham Karthik, Kalaiyarasan and Teejay Arunasalam will be essaying important roles in the film which has music composed by AR Rahman.
An official remake of Sandalwood film Mufti, Silambarasan will be seen playing AGR, a gangster in it. The character was essayed by Shivaraj Kumar in Kannada. Gautham's role was played by Sri Murali. Farook J Basha and Praveen KL have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the film.
R Sakthi Saravanan has choreographed action sequences for the movie which has dialogues penned by RS Ramakrishnan and editing helmed by Milan.
