Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan reportedly will be reuniting on screen after 17 years with Priyadarshan's directorial. As per a new report, the film has received a title.

Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan were last seen together in Tashan, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Earlier, it was reported that the actors will be reuniting after 17 years with a Priyadarshan film, which is an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Now, a new report revealed that the film has received a title.

As per Hindustan Times, Priyadarshan's film, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, is titled Haiwaan, which translates to ‘beast’ in English. A source informed the portal, "The team felt this describes their subject the best, and conveys exactly how Priyadarshan sees it - as an edge of the seat thriller. There were other titles in contention, but this one clicked unanimously, given the characters the lead actors play."
Meanwhile, Haiwaan is likely to go on floors in August 2025 and is scheduled for a release in 2026.
Apart from Tashan and ahead of Haiwaan, the actors have earlier collaborated on several hit films, including the cult classic Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Yeh Dillagi (1994), Tu Chor Main Sipahi (1996), and Keemat (1998).

Akshay had recently wrapped up the film Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. The film is based on mythology and black magic, inspired by the Vedas and the Mahabharata. It will also feature an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani. The film has been described as a fun, entertaining experience for viewers who enjoy Priyadarshan's work.
Akshay will also be seen in Welcome to the Jungle and Hera Pheri 3.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan was seen in the film Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, it also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. The story revolves around a skilled conman, Rehan Roy (played by Saif Ali Khan), who is hired by the ruthless mafia boss Rajan Awlakh (played by Jaideep Ahlawat) to steal the legendary African Red Sun diamond worth Rs 500 crore. Robbery takes a dangerous turn when loyalties change, leading to a web of betrayal and deception. However, the film received mixed responses from fans and critics.
