Project K to be titled as Kaal Chakra, starring Deepika Padukone and Prabhas?

It is not a surprise that Project K is the working title for an upcoming Indian epic science fiction film written and directed by Nag Ashwin. The makers of the movie, recently, in a press statement, confirmed that the official title and trailer of the upcoming project featuring superstars Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, will be launched officially at the San Diego Comic-Con 2023 in the USA.

While the buzz around the title of the film continues to gain momentum, a fresh report by Pinkvilla claims that the official title of the movie is “Kaal Chakra”.

“The title of the film is in sync with the subject and has a mythological connection too. Kaal Chakra essentially means the wheel of time and is seen as a symbol of creation and destruction. In simple terms, it means the passage of time and is functioning with the help of Lord Krishna,” reports Pinkvilla.

Earlier, multiple reports suggested that Project K draws inspiration from Mahabharata, a high-regarded Hindu epic, and Amitabh Bachchan is likely to play the role of Ashwatthama, grandson of the sage Bharadwaja.

Only time will confirm whether this development holds to be true.

Meanwhile, superstar Prabhas on Saturday, July 15, unveiled a new poster of Project K. In it, one arm looked suited in armour, while the other was seemingly wearing a plain shirt with the fist wrapped in bandage material. According to this announcement in the post, the film will be the “ultimate showdown".

Project K is slated to be released in 2024. It is produced by C. Aswani Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. The movie will also feature Tamil actor Suriya and Bollywood actress Disha Patani in supporting roles.
