Another such survivor thriller film Project Silence is finally making its India debut on Lionsgate Play (OTTplay Premium) next month.
When to watch Project Silence?
The Korean film was released in 2024, and now after two years, it's releasing in India on August 1, 2025, on Lionsgate Play and OTTplay Premium. Directed by Kim Tae-gon, Project Silence features Lee Sun-kyun, Ju Ji-hoon, and Kim Hee-won in the key roles.
What's the plot of Project Silence?
The film focuses on a shocking airport bridge collapse. A series of accidents and an explosion have put the people in a precarious situation, with the bridge hanging in the balance. The bad weather makes the situation quite grave for the survivors as well as the rescuers.To make matters worse, a secret Army mission called 'Project Silence' is involved in transporting experimental dogs across the bridge. The horrific part is they have been set loose and are now attacking innocent people.
Soon it's revealed that these dogs were initially created to rescue humans, but now have been turned into aggressive animals to attack the terrorists by the Korean military, which led to making ' Project Silence'.
Director Kim Tae-gon remembers late actor Lee Sun-kyun, the lead role in Project Silence
For the unversed, Project Silence's lead actor Lee Sun-kyun died in December 2023. Director Kim Tae-gon stated that the film underwent significant changes after his shocking demise. Back in 2024, in a press conference, Tae-gon stated that all he wanted to do was to complete the film, thinking that was what he could do for Lee Sun-kyun.
While remembering his experience of working with the late actor, Kim Tae-gon further shared that Lee Sun-kyun had helped a lot in several areas while filming Project Silence, including the action sequences, before and during shooting.
