'Pushpa is my interpretation,' says Allu Arjun, reveals 'one thing he really likes about him'

Allu Arjun recently offered a grand peek into both his personal and professional lives with his maiden collaboration with Instagram. The actor also becomes the first South Indian actor to collab with the photo-blogging platform and together, they take us into the many worlds and many shades that the Stylish Star occupies.

From the serenity of his vast home, the frenzy that surrounds him in the form of fans and admirers to the fictional world that he is a part of, the video shows fleeting glimpses of the Pushpa star's life. Much to our delight, it also features some fun behind-the-scenes moments from the sets of Pushpa: The Rule with director Sukumar, too, chipping in with a few key pointers.

"I like Pushpa's never-give-up attitude"

Another highlight of the video is that it shows just how effortlessly Allu Arjun sheds his superstar image and slips into the Pushpa Raj mode. The process, as revealed, starts with him sprucing him with Pushpa's bold and vibrant costumes which evidently allows him to get into the zone. But beyond that, the fact that something about that larger-than-life character resonates with Allu Arjun also potentially helps him channel his emotions.

"There's one thing about this character that I really like. He's got a never-give-up attitude. There's always a part of me that's part of the character. If Pushpa was played by somebody else, they would interpret it in some other way. This is my interpretation, so, that's what Pushpa is about," he says.

Of course, Allu Arjun's stimulated performance in the first instalment won him a lot of praise and also fetched him his maiden National Film Award in the Best Actor category. Devi Sri Prasad, another of Sukumar's main collaborators over the years, won the National Award for 'Best Music Direction – Songs'.

Pushpa 2 release date confirmed?

Pushpa: The Rule is arguably among the most-awaited releases of the near future and the latest buzz suggests that the makers are eyeing an early 2024 theatrical release. Though a formal announcement is awaited on this, a few reports suggest that March 22, 2024, is likely to be the chosen date.

Fahadh Faasil returns to play the antagonist SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS and so does Rashmika Mandanna to reprise the role of Sri Valli. Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Dhananjaya, Prakash Raj, Jagapati Babu and others, too, are part of the cast of Pushpa 2.
