The first part of the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise released globally in multiple languages on December 17, and has had great reception. However, it is now being reported that certain scenes from the film featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna have been omitted.
Reportedly, the makers have removed a romantic scene from the movie, where Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Raj and Mandanna’s Srivalli are seen having a private moment with each other.
According to IANS, a section of the audience found this scene objectionable. Another reason for the removal of the scenes is to reduce the movie’s run-time.
The trimmed version of Pushpa: The Rise will begin playing in theatres from December 20.
The action-drama received good reviews, and has pulled in fans from across the country to the theatres. The movie has also reportedly crossed Rs 100 crore collection within three days of release.
Apart from Allu Arjun and Mandanna, the movie also stars Fahadh Faasil, Sunil Varma, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a special appearance in a dance number.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rise is the third time Allu Arjun is working with the director. They previously worked together in Arya and Arya 2. The movie has music from Devi Sri Prasad.
The story is based on the illegal red sander smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills. The second and final part of the movie, titled Pushpa: The Rule, will start production in 2022.
