S S Rajamouli is back after his blockbuster pan Indian hit Baahubali: The Conclusion with another big budget project, RRR. The makers of the movie are now on a promotion spree across the country.
In a recent promotional event for the movie in Mumbai, director Rajamouli spoke about the introduction scenes of both Ram Charan and JR NTR, and their performances in the movie.
He said, “We had earlier worked on superhit films and it was their stardom that made me a star director. Charan is a fantastic actor and he doesn't know it. Tarak is also a fantastic actor, but he knows it.”
The filmmaker added that he had to “trouble” them so much and had to make Jr NTR run through the jungles of Bulgaria without any footwear, but he ran like a tiger.
For Charan’s introduction scene, Rajamouli revealed that he had to push the actor in front of 2000 people, and while there was blood, sweat and dust, it was one of the best shots he has filmed in his career.
RRR is helmed by Rajamouli and is bankrolled by DVV Entertainment under a reported budget of 450 crore.
The movie has a star-studded cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Shriya Saran.
RRR will tell a fictional tale of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. It is set to release across the country in multiple languages on January 7, 2022.
