Raashii Khanna shares update about Farzi 2 with Shahid Kapoor - 'Raj & DK are still...'

Raashii Khanna and Shahid Kapoor's web show Farzi opened to great feedback upon its OTT release in 2023. Directed by Raj & DK, the series premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Since the first installment's release, people have been eagerly waiting for season two. The makers have confirmed that Farzi 2 will be made. And Raashii has shared a latest update about the upcoming season of her show with Shahid.

Raashii Khanna reconfirmed that Farzi 2 will happen. However, there's no clarity about the second season's release timeline. In an interview with News18, the actress revealed that Raj & DK are currently working on the show's script.

"A sequel will definitely happen. Raj-DK are still in the writing stage. That’s what I was told by them. But they’re the right people to answer this question. Shahid is also as clueless as me. We’ve no idea what’s happening," she told the news publication.

The actress further revealed she and Shahid are waiting for a call from the filmmaker duo stating they're ready with the script. And once that happens, Raashii and Shahid will begin shooting for Frazi 2. "I really can’t wait to start Farzi 2. Hopefully, we should begin shooting for it sometime this year. Let’s see what happens," shared Khanna.

And while Farzi's success paved the way for new opportunities for Raashii, the actress is confused in regards to the choices she needs to make. "We don’t know what we should be doing and what’s working. We’re just throwing darts into the darkness hoping they hit the bullseye," added Raashii.

On the work front, Raashii Khanna has completed shooting for her next project, TME. The actress will be seen with The Sabarmati Report co-star Vikrant Massey in the movie. However, the film's theatrical release date is yet to be confirmed by the makers. Earlier, Raashii described her character as 'beautifully broken'. Her last Hindi theatrical release was The Sabarmati Report with Vikrant and Ridhi Dogra.
