Rachana Inder is a few films old in Kannada cinema but is still best remembered for her debut Love Mocktail. The young actress has been actively trying to bust the bubbly talkative girl image she got with the Darling Krishna led film, and one such endeavour has her playing a forensic investigator. Rachana is in the lead of a film called 4N6, a murder mystery in which she follows the scientific elements of the clues, while Bhavani Prakash is he cop investigating the case.

The team has dropped the trailer of the film, in which Rachana and Bhavani work together to crack a series of well-planned murders, in which evidence is left behind but after having been intentionally tampered with. How the duo manages to crack the case despite dealing with a clever killer is what the film is about.

The film directed by debutant Darshan Srinivas is coming to theatres on May 10, as revealed in the trailer. It joins Rishi’s comedy entertainer Ramana Avatara and Vijay Raghavendra’s thriller Grey Games as the week’s theatrical outings. Earlier, Sharan’s horror comedy Choo Mantar was also in the mix, but that’s been pushed ahead and no new date has been announced yet.

Rachana on playing the lead in 4N6

In an earlier conversation with OTTplay, Rachana, who was shooting for 4N6 at the time, had explained that the title is a derivative of the number of deaths, her name in the film, Nayesha, and the number of suspects. Also, although the film is about murders, there isn’t much violence, as the narrative focuses on the investigation and not so much the crime, given that there is a deliberate attempt to derail the forensic trail.

The film, according to Rachana is under an hour and a half in duration, as Darshan has kept the narrative focused and to the point, without scope for any lag. The film also stars Aadhya Shekar, Naveen Kumar, Arjun, R Nixon, Saurav Prashanth, among others.

Rachana was last seen in director Shashank's Love 360 , in which she played a character with learning disabilities. The Kannada adaptation of the film Mother, Love 360 had chart topping music, including Jagave Neene by Sid Sriram. The film is available to stream on OTTplay Premium with the Simply South pack.
