Fame does not always ensure a fulfilling life. This statement holds true for famous Indian television star Raghu Ram – who rose to fame after featuring as a host, and judge in the Roadies franchise. His personal life, however, was not a garden of roses. In a chat with a news portal recently, the 48-year-old disclosed that his marriage and mental health were adversely affected due to his involvement in the Roadies show.
Raghu Ram opens up about his troubled personal life
In a talk with India Today, Raghu Ram said, “Personally, my life was going through a lot of upheaval because of Roadies and because of the surrounding craze. My marriage was suffering. Ultimately, I got divorced. My mental health, my physical health and everything else was just crazy. I needed to take a step away. So, I stopped, and I am glad I did. Not one day have I regretted walking away."

For those who don’t know, Raghu Ram was once married to actress Sugandha Garg, recognized for her performances in Bollywood films like Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, Tere Bin Laden, and My Name Is Khan. They parted ways in 2016 after being married for almost ten years and officially divorced in 2018. Shortly after, Raghu Ram married singer Natalie Di Luccio in 2018. They became parents to their son, Rhythm, on January 8, 2020.
Will Raghu Ram return as a host/judge of MTV Roadies?
If you are wondering if he will return to the show, it is very unlikely. Raghu Ram has said this multiple times in the past and said it again to India Today, “No, not going to happen. We were asked, but no, I don't want to. I haven't seen Roadies ever since I left.”
Raghu Ram has a twin brother named Rajiv Lakshman. They worked together on MTV Roadies. In 2023, Sonu Sood stepped into Rannvijay Singha's shoes for MTV Roadies 18. Sood hosted the 18th season of the show.
