Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom is a Netflix series set in a fictional, mythical kingdom. It stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi. Created by Raj and DK, the series' indoor shoot is almost done, and now the cast is getting ready for an intense outdoor action shoot schedule.
According to the makers, the shooting for Rakt Bramhand is progressing in a meticulously planned phase. After the indoor schedule, the team is now all set for an intense outdoor phase where the action-packed core of the show will be showcased.
Speaking to India Today, creator duo Raj and DK shared that Rakt Bramhand is an ambitious epic project unfolding over multiple schedules.
"We finished most of our indoor talkie schedule, and we are now prepping for the next big schedule that is mostly outdoors and action. The plan is to wait for the rains to clear for a suitable filming window. We also need lush greens for this period set up. So yeah, we are prepping for the next big action schedule," they said.
There have been reports that Raj & DK's Rakt Bramhand might be cancelled, but Netflix provided a statement from the creator duo, where they denied all such rumours and added that they are all set to begin the outdoor shoot schedule with Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Ali Fazal's fantasy drama.
Meanwhile, last year in July, Netflix announced the series by sharing a poster on Instagram. The captivating poster features a crown dripping with blood all over.
“Rakt Bramhand. The Bloody Kingdom,” read the text in the photo. The note on the post read, “We've got BIGGGGGG news that'll stir your blood. We're pumped to announce our first-ever action-fantasy series."
Raj & Dk's Rakt Bramhand's release date is yet to be finalised. However, reports claimed that it is tentatively set to stream on Netflix sometime in 2026. As per reports, the series focuses on the conflict between two princes competing for the throne, set against the backdrop of the red-eyed goddess Raktakshi Devi. The show promises a mix of high-level action and intense drama.
