Raj Kundra, the husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, released the trailer for his forthcoming movie UT69 today, on 18th October. The movie showcases his time in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail, where he spent about 63 days after being taken into custody on July 19, 2021, in connection with a case involving the production and distribution of pornographic content.
During the release of the trailer for his upcoming biopic, Raj Kundra turns actor as he plays himself in the film. Raj publicly took off his mask on Wednesday after 1.5 years and appeared before the media to discuss his time spent in prison and his movie.

A reporter questioned the significance of the number 69 in the title, to which he revealed that he was in prison under the number 69 and that he was aware of its symbolic meaning. He was then questioned if "69" included any innuendos, and he said, "Humara desh enjoy karta hai yeh. Kehte hai na do cheez bikti hai India mein aur Bollywood mein, Shah Rukh (Khan) aur s*x."

After a woman approached the police and made specific accusations, an FIR was filed against Raj and the other defendants. The Mumbai Crime Branch received the case as a transfer. In addition to sections of the Information Technology Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, Raj was charged with violating Indian Penal Code sections 420 (cheating), 292, and 293 (relating to obscene and indecent advertisements and exhibitions).
UT69 is directed by Shahnawaz Ali and is slated to release on November 3, 2023.
