Raj Kundra reflects on impact of porn allegations on marriage with Shilpa Shetty - 'She laughed'

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra made a lot of headlines in the year 2021 for his alleged involvement in the production and distribution of pornographic films. The news came as a shock to the entire nation. The businessman is still waiting for justice even after three years of being arrested on the charges. After the controversy, Raj was labeled as the 'porn king' even after getting bail. Recently in an interview, the businessman opened up about the effects because of this incident.

While mentioning how his marriage with Shilpa Shetty was affected after the entire pornographic film controversy, Raj revealed that when Shilpa got to know about the case, she "laughed." He said, "If you are living at home together and there is something like p*rn involved, you would know." He also mentioned that Shilpa had to suffer a lot on the professional front and she also lost several television projects and other opportunities. "I found that very unfair," he added. 

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Raj stated that his marriage was unaffected by the case. He revealed that the understanding and the mutual trust he shares with his wife allowed him to find comfort during the terrible times. He also said that he knew exactly how much to believe when someone told him something about her.

Further speaking about his son Viaan's reaction to the whole controversy, Kundra said his son would ask Shilpa "What's happening?" and the actress asked him "not to google" his father's name.

Expressing that it was unfair that his wife and kids had to bear the consequences of this case, he confesses that all these things happened as he is married to a celebrity. He said, "It all happened because I am married to a celebrity. If I was not, I don’t think half of this damage would have been done. I feel they weren’t getting at me, but my wife and kids. You attack me, no issues, but she was collateral damage."

Well, all these shows that once a celebrity gets under the scanner for any alleged wrongdoings, not just the celebrity but the entire family faces trouble after it. In this case, the businessman is married to a celebrity, however, the celebrity's name is still attached to it.
