Rajat Dalal and Elvish Yadav have spoken on Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia matter. The two comedians have now been nabbed by the cops and called for interrogation after an FIR was lodged against them. While Samay has obliged, Ranveer is yet to present himself. Both Samay and Ranveer have apologized to the public, and Samay has even pulled down all content related to India's Got Latent after the comment. Elvish and Rajat came in defence of Samay in particular, but also stressed on the importance of being mindful when it comes to content. Here's what they said...
During his interview with Siddharth Kannan, Rajat Dalal spilled the beans about his bonding with Samay Raina. He shares a close bond with Samay and believes that he is a good man and brother who has corrected him in the past. He pointed out that since kids find abusive language cool, thus the rise of the culture (and pressure on makers to deliver content that keeps hitting the mark).
As a society though, Rajat called out Samay and Ranveer's comments. He also pointed out that the latter has copied a comment from another English podcast. "Itne logon ke saath aap podcast kar chuke ho toh thode dekh ke bolna chahiye," Rajat said, adding that he is almost out of the phase of using abusive language for content.
Stating that he doesn't believe on social media because it is filled with bots, Rajat rather wishes to know what people think on-ground. "Mera maanna hai ki agar koi aage aakar maafi maangta hai, bhug-taan karta hai toh yaar galti toh insaan se hi hoti hai," he said, adding that he has also made many mistakes in life. The influencer then questioned the ban culture and how if everybody is punished over making a mistaken then how would a society even function. He believes that there will be legal consequences, and that the duo might have to face.
In another viral video, Elvish Yadav passed a comment on the matter. Laughing, he said, "Kuch nahi kehna chahta," adding that he doesn't milk on such topics. "Jo mere aas paas ke bhai bandhu hote hai na, main unpe kabhi milk nahi karta," he said, recalling how people called it 'Black Day for YouTube' back when he was arrested in the Snake Venom case. He recalled how some of his 'friends' backed out at the time, but he isn't willing to go that path. Thus, in a sense, even Elvish came to both Samay and Ranveer's defence.
