Rajinikanth, who rarely attends private events, graced a function yesterday in Chennai where he recollected some of the old habits which he gave up a while ago. The Superstar said that he would drink, smoke and gorge on non-vegetarian dishes in an uncontrollable manner even before he made his debut in films.

He added that the habit became worse after he earned money and fame from movies. The Jailer star thanked his wife Latha for changing him into a disciplined person with her unconditional love and pointed out that people who indulged in excessive smoking and drinking might find it difficult to lead a healthy life after the age of 60.

Needless to say, his speech went viral on social media and his fans heaped praise on their matinee idol for inspiring people to develop good habits. They also went gaga over his honest and humble nature when the star spoke about destiny and the significance of time in everyone's lives.

He is currently shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer, the production of which is going on at a brisk pace in Chennai. The movie hit the headlines multiple times recently, thanks to several stars joining the movie to play crucial roles in it.

The project bankrolled by Sun Pictures is expected to be the comeback of Rajinikanth as his previous two outings didn't leave much impact at the box office. Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Sunil, Vasanth Ravi and Yogi Babu among others essay key roles in the film which has music by Anirudh.

Jailer is expected to hit the screens in August. The movie was earlier planned as a summer release, but the makers seem to have changed their plans.
