It looks like the tickets for Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer are selling like hotcakes. The advance booking for the film has just begun in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, the film has been registering high numbers at the US box office and the latest we hear is that the premiere pre-sales has crossed that of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Vikram premiere in the country. And this has pushed Jailer to the seventh spot in all-time top 10 Tamil cinema premieres in the country. The FDFS is all set to begin at 6am in the country.

In the meantime, the FDFS in Karnataka and Kerala, too, are to begin at 6am. In Tamil Nadu, the first show begins only at 9am, much to the disappointment of fans, who are used to going to theatres for the FDFS at 4am in the morning.

The film's production house has been dropping one picture after the other from the film, to keep the engagement high. The makers recently dropped a picture of Rajinikanth with Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal. Interestingly, this is the first time that Rajinikanth will be seen with the duo. The pictures have already set the internet on fire.

The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial also stars Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Tamanaah, Vinayakan and VTV Ganesh to name a few. Jackie Shroff had stated during the film's audio launch that the only reason he decided to get on board was none other than Thalaivar himself. The last time the duo had shared screen space was in Uttar Dakshin (1987), which was more than three decades ago.

Jailer also marks the comeback of the hit Padayappa pair, Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan. Interestingly, this time around Neelambari aka Ramya Krishnan plays Muthuvel Pandian's (Rajinikanth) wife in the film. Jailer is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures and expectations are riding high on the film, due to the star-studded cast, plot, music and more.
