The new picture of the Malayalam and Tamil superstars have set the internet on fire
With just a few days to go for Superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer, the makers have been dropping brand new pictures from the film, back to back. The film's production house, Sun Pictures today shared a picture of Rajinikanth and Mohanlal sitting side by side on a couch and engaged in a conversation.
This is the first time that Rajinikanth and Mohanlal will be sharing screen space in a film and hence, expectations are high from the combination. People have already called the collaboration a rampage in theatres. Social media is flooded with comments about the picture. Taking to its Twitter handle, Sun Pictures wrote, "Superstar - Lalettan Yarellam indha combo paaka waiting? 5 days to go for #Jailer storm in theatres! #JailerFromAug10 (sic)."
Mohanlal's look from the film has already become a sensation of sorts. Earlier, Mohanlal had revealed in an interview that though he plays a cameo, it's quite an interesting character in Jailer. He, however, remained tight-lipped about his role and said that anything more would give away the suspense.
Jailer also marks the debut of Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar in Tamil and marks the comeback of Jackie Shroff in Tamil cinema after his last appearance in Vijay and Atlee's Bigil. Jailer has an ensemble star cast comprising Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaah, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan to name a few.
The film marks the maiden outing with director Nelson Dilipkumar, who is known for his films, Kolamaavu Kokil, Don and Beast. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan, and editing by R Nirmal.
Jailer is touted to be the comeback of the Superstar, whose last release Annaththe Siva didn't rake in the moolah at the box office. Hence, expectations are riding high from Jailer, which is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures.
