The trailer of Jailer has escalated expectations surrounding the film. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial, featuring a bevy of actors, is releasing on August 10 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The advance booking for the movie is yet to begin in Tamil Nadu, though a few territories have already commenced the same.

The first shows of the movie are expected to release around the same time in Kerala, Bengaluru and the US. Interestingly, the film has been registering encouraging numbers at the US box office. It has always been one of the strongest forts of the Superstar.

Going by a few sources, the Rajinikanth-starrer is likely to gross $1M before the release of its Tamil and Telugu versions. The film is touted to be the comeback of the star, and the unanimously positive response to the trailer is said to be a prelude to the celebrations that will kick start on August 10.

Stun Siva's action scenes and Anirudh's music are expected to be major highlights of Jailer, apart from the presence of the Superstar. The cameos of Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Tamannaah are likely to be the cherry on top, and the makers haven't showcased them in the trailer.

Jailer will not have early morning shows in Tamil Nadu, and we have to wait and see how this is going to impact the overall day-one collection. It is after a long time that a big-ticket film is denied an early morning show. A few exhibitors have confirmed the same through their social media pages.

Nevertheless, the movie will take a gargantuan opening and the rest depends on its word of mouth and reviews. For now, everything looks positive for the film and fans are keeping their fingers crossed.
