Rajkummar Rao has been making headlines for undergoing plastic surgery since the time his pictures from an event went viral. The pictures took the internet by storm as fans speculated that the actor had undergone surgery as his chin looked elongated. However, the actor has finally spoken up about the same denying the rumours and saying that someone has played a prank on him.

Rajkummar Rao breaks silence on plastic surgery photos

In a recent interview with India Today, Rajkummar said that the pictures that are going viral don't even look like him. He said, "It was really funny because it’s not even me. I guess someone played a prank. I strongly believe that it was a touched-up image."

The actor, who will soon be seen in the film Srikanth further revealed that as soon as the pictures went viral, social media users started digging into his old pictures. He said, "People were using big words like plastic surgery, but I have never gone under the knife."

However, Rao accepted the fact that he got fillers around eight-nine years ago. "I did get fillers. I did it to feel better and look better, so that my face looks balanced. It was prescribed by my dermatologist. And I really think if anyone wants to do that to gain confidence, then why not? There is no harm in it," he said.

The Kai Po Che actor also added that being in the industry, actors constantly feel pressured to look good, proper, and prim, however, he said that for him, work will always be a priority over all. "For me, I enjoy working out. Honestly, I think one should do whatever makes them happy and gives them confidence," he added.

On the work front, Rajkummar Rao is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Srikanth. The film is based on the real-life story of Srikanth Bolla, an Indian industrialist. The film is all set to hit cinemas on May 10.
