Raktabeej promotion: Rangabati-pair Om Sahni and Devlina Kumar hit the dance floor

Om Sahani and Devlina Kumar stole a million hearts with their hit dance number Rangabati. Four years ago, they performed the song in Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s drama, Gotro. Sung by Surajit Chatterjee and Iman Chakraborty, the song was an instant hit. A number of covers of the song and hook step flooded the social media.

After four years, Devlina and Om got back together on the dance floor. This time to promote yet another Shoboprosad and Nandita’s film, Raktabeej. Devlina plays an important character in the film. In the video shared on Instagram, the duo dances with Nakku Nakur Na Jao Thakur – a recently released song composed by Anindya Chattopadhyay and sung by Nandy sisters – Antara and Ankita. Om and Devlina dance in front of an idol of Devi Durga. 

Along with the video, Devlina wrote, “Now this is very special to me. Nakku Nakur with my Rangbaj. Thank u @om_sahani15 for being so you. With my favourite dancing partner with a Rangabati touch.”

Four mega films are gearing up to be released this Puja. Along with Shiboprosad and Nandita’s thriller Raktabeej, there will be Srijit Mukherji’s Dawshom Awbotaar, Arun Roy’s Bagha Jatin and Arindam Sil’s Jongole Mitin Mashi. Almost all the films have a stellar star cast. Raktabeej features Victor Banerjee, Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty in the lead. Dawshom has Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Jisshu U Sengupta, and Jaya Ahsan in the lead. Dev plays Bagha Jatin and Koel Mallick returns as Mitin Mashi.
