Rakul Preet Singh on working with Ajay Devgn in Thank God: One second he’s Singham and the other second he’s someone else

After their tumultuous ride as pilots in Runway 34, Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet singh will share the screen yet again in Thank God. While the former was an aviation thriller, the latter will see the duo try their hand at comedy once again. The actress recently opened up about the experience of working with Devgn on the comedy.

In conversation with Mid-Day, Singh revealed how she did not share a lot of ‘combination scenes’ with her co-star in Thank God. But despite that, she said it was a great experience to see Devgn’s comedic prowess, and how good the star was at ‘switching’. “One second he’s Singham and the other second he’s someone else so he’s very good with it,” said Singh.

The actress also talked about how good Devgn’s comic timing was, which fans could get glimpses of in the Golmaal film series. Singh also talked about how it was ‘always a different experience’ each time she worked with Devgn.

Thank God would mark Singh and Devgn’s third onscreen collaboration together. The duo had first shared the screen in the 2019 romantic drama De De Pyaar De, which also starred Tabu. In addition to Singh and Devgn, Thank God also stars Sidharth Malhotra. The latter will share the screen with Devgn for the first time in the upcoming film, which is directed by Indra Kumar. The film is produced under the banner of T-Series and Maruti International. Bhushan Kumar and Indra kumar are the producers on the film. The makers had announced last year that the film will release on July 29, 2022.
