In an interview with Connect Cine, Ravi opened up about playing Lord Laxman in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. The actor said, "Playing Laxman is an honor and a responsibility. His devotion to his brother Ram and his values are qualities I deeply admire. This is a role I hold close to my heart."

The actor added he earlier didn't talk about it as he didn't wish to give irresponsible statements and spoil the maker's plans to reveal the cast. He further shared his experience of working with Ranbir, who plays Lord Ram.
Ravi added, "He is like the elder brother I never had. He is kind and warm, he is the most immaculate professional that I have ever met. This is my first time working alongside a megastar like Ranbir Kapoor and his kindness, empathy, silence, and grace towards everyone (is impeccable)." Dubey mentioned that Ranbir is the only 'commercial and viable' artist of this generation.
Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1 is scheduled for a big screen release on Diwali 2026. A year later, the second part will be released on Diwali (2027). The first poster of Ramayana was shared by Namit Malhotra. Earlier, in an official statement, Namit stated that he had envisioned bringing this mythological epic to the big screen more than a decade ago.
