Rambaan – Mohanlal to sport a new look in the Joshiy directorial? Here’s what we know

Mohanlal is going through a low phase in his acting career, from the last couple of years. The Malayalam superstar, who was best known for his versatility and impeccable acting skills, has been restricting himself into commercial potboilers for quite some time now. However, Mohanlal is now set to bounce back with some promising projects, including Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Malaikottai Vaaliban, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2 Empuraan, and Joshiy’s Rambaan.

Interestingly, the National award-winning actor is reportedly set to undergo a major transformation for his role in Rambaan. The upcoming action thriller will mark Mohanlal’s reunion with veteran director Joshiy, after a long gap of over 8 years.

Mohanlal’s new look for Rambaan

As you may know, Mohanlal has been heavily criticized by the cine-goers in the past couple of years, for not trying new looks for his roles. The superstar has always been seen in his thick beard look since the release of his 2018-released film Odiyan. However, the latest updates suggest that the veteran actor is finally getting ready to experiment with his looks, in the upcoming Joshiy directorial Rambaan.

If the latest updates are to be believed, Mohanlal is finally set to bid goodbye to his signature thick beard look for his role in the upcoming action thriller. Rambaan will reportedly showcase the superstar in a brand-new clean-shaven look, with a different hairdo. The new update has left the Mohanlal fans, who have been eagerly waiting to see their idol in a fresh look on the silver screen, highly excited.

All about Rambaan

The Joshiy directorial, which is touted to be an out-and-out action film, reportedly stars Mohanlal as the titular character Rambaan. Sonu Sood, the renowned Bollywood actor is reportedly approached to play the lead antagonist in the film. Arjun Ashokan and SV Krishna Shankar are set to play the other pivotal roles. The project is penned and co-produced by the popular actor-writer Chemban Vinod Jose, along with Einstin Zach Paul and Shailesh R Singh. Rambaan is expected to go on floors by the first quarter of 2024.
