The language used in the online abuse of actress Ramya by fans of Challenging Star Darshan, threatening her with dire consequences, including rape and murder, after she shared reportage of the Supreme Court proceedings in the Kannada star’s case concerning his bail in the Renukaswamy murder case, is absolutely derogatory. Ramya had shared screenshots of the online abuse, but it only got worse, forcing her to lodge a police complaint to seek action against those who have been using the choicest expletives in their trolling of the actress.

Century Star Shivarajkumar, who was Ramya’s co-star in one of her last commercial films, Aryan, and who has shared a long personal connect with the actress who debuted with his brother Puneeth Rajkumar, was among the first to jump to her support. Shivarajkumar said that the language used in these comments against Ramya was deplorable and not how anyone ought to speak with a woman.
