After a video of Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma together went viral, rumors of a sequel to Wake Up Sid began to circulate.

For a special shoot, Ranbir and Konkana reunited after nearly 15 years. Ranbir, Konkona, and the actors Namit Das and Shikha Talsania—who portrayed Ranbir's buddies in the 2009 movie—are seen in a video that has gone viral on Reddit working on something.

Konkona is dressed identically like her Wake Up Sid character Aisha, wearing a white kurta and denim with a dupatta around her neck, while Ranbir is dressed more casually in a blue shirt and off-white pants. Namit is dressed in beige shorts and a red floral shirt. With her pink shirt and blue denim, Shikha also has an appearance similar to Laxmi, her character from the movie, Wake Up Sid.

Internet users expressed their desire to see Ranbir and Konkona together in a movie after seeing the video. A fan wrote, “Omg can’t wait. It will be a blockbuster I can already confirm that ❤️❤️❤️” Another comment read, “It would be nice to see a sequel to Wake up sid 15 years later..Could explore so many topics.”

Fans are already anticipating seeing the two actors back on screen together after seeing a behind-the-scenes video of them, most likely from a movie or commercial shoot. Some are even hoping for a Wake Up Sid sequel.

About Wake Up Sid

Wake Up Sid was released in the year 2009. The movie was also one of the biggest hits. The film follows the journey of a privileged brat (played by Ranbir Kapoor) who learns to live life on his own with the support of a journalist (played by Konkana SenSharma) who recently relocated to Mumbai is followed in this coming-of-age movie. The film marked Ayan Mukerji’s first film.

Ranbir and Konkona's on-screen chemistry in the film was much appreciated by fans. The film also starred veteran actors Anupam Kher and Supriya Pathak.
