Keeping in view of this sentiment, fans of these two celebrities thronged social media handles today with their views, soon after a photo of them being seated together at the Wankhede Stadium went viral on social media. Ranbir Kapoor and Hardik Pandya were present at the Wankhede Stadium last evening to watch the India Vs New Zealand ICC World Cup 2023. During the match, Hardik and Ranbir were spotted having a conversation with each other.
While a few internet users wondered that they must be discussing the match, many of them funnily remarked that they are ‘forming a gang against those in favour of continuation of Koffee with Karan’.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor made headlines when he declined an offer to appear as a guest on the talk show Koffee with Karan in 2022, despite his wife, Alia Bhatt, being the guest on the season premiere episode alongside actor Ranveer Singh. However, this decision wasn't entirely unexpected, as Ranbir had expressed negative views about the show in the past.
During an appearance on the now-defunct comedy collective AIB’s podcast in 2018, Ranbir voiced his opinion, stating that it seemed unfair that Karan Johar benefits from the show, while the movie stars who participate in it end up dealing with the controversies he generates. In 2018, Ranbir publicly said, “I am, I was forced this season (in 2022). Me and Anushka [Sharma, actress] were actually going to protest and get the film industry together, to stop this, it’s not fair…”

In 2018, cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul faced significant backlash for their controversial comments on the talk show Koffee with Karan Season 6.
