Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most talented and versatile actors in the industry. He turned 43 on September 28, 2025, and hosted his first Instagram Live session from his ARKS account. He was showered with several questions, and one of them was when Ranbir can direct a movie.
Ranbir Kapoor as a director soon?
While interacting with fans during the live session on Instagram, Ranbir Kapoor was asked to share an update on 'director RK.' To this, Kapoor said, "I am dying to direct a movie. I have actually started a writer's room recently, and I am trying to inspire myself with the 2 ideas I have been starting to work on it but it's definitely on my to-do list in the next couple of years."
Ranbir Kapoor updates on Animal Park and Brahmastra 2
When asked to update on Animal Park, Ranbir said, "Animal Park should start in 2027. Sandeep has been interacting with me on the idea, the music and the characters and its just crazy and I cant wait to be on set."
On the other hand, speaking about Brahmastra 2, RK said that Ayan Mukerji is writing the film so fans can expect it soon.
