Ranjithame: The instant chartbuster song from Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu achieves THIS commendable feat

The first single from Varisu, Ranjithame, which was unveiled earlier this month, went on to become an instant chartbuster. The song, which was composed by Thaman, penned by Vivek and sung by Vijay and Manasi, was lapped up instantly by fans of Vijay, thanks to its peppy tune and repeat-worthy beats.

The presence of Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in it was another reason why the track became a blockbuster, smashing a few records on YouTube. The chemistry between the two actors, their flashy costumes and stylish moves sent their fans into a tizzy. The song has now clocked 50M views on YouTube.

The social media handle of Sri Venkateswara Creations, which has bankrolled the project, officially announced the same to express excitement. Movie buffs are now looking forward to the second single from the film which will hit the screens in January 2023. 

It is heard that Anirudh Ravichander, who had composed for the last two movies of Vijay, has lent voice for one of the songs in Varisu. The movie marks the first collaboration of composer Thaman and Vijay. Fans are now keeping their fingers crossed with regard to the background music of the family drama. 

The film helmed by Vamshi Paidipally has Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Shaam and Jayasudha among others essaying key roles. Varisu is Vijay's Pongal outing after 2021, and marks veteran Tollywood producer Dil Raju's debut in Kollywood. The project will have a box office clash with Ajith's Thunivu for the festival.

Seven Screen Studio has bagged the theatrical rights of the movie and film lovers are looking forward to an announcement on its official release date.
