Deekshith Shetty has been paired opposite Rashmika Mandanna in this film, which has been directed by Rahul Ravindran, who last made Mandamdhudu 2 and Chi La Sow with Sushanth Akkineni and Rushani Sharma as the leads
Rashmika is busy promoting the film, and when asked about what’s special in it, as it appears to be like any other romantic drama, she said, “The first half of The Girlfriend deals with incompatibility, which is shown in the trailer, while the second half has not been revealed yet. It’s a unique story from a different point of view.”
By the looks of it, one can easily understand that there is something special the makers have hidden in the promos. Speaking about the same, director Rahul Ravindran said, “Rashmika has killed it with the role, as she understood the depth of the character. While editing, we re-watched many scenes because of her impactful performance.”
Right from the day the film went on floors, Rashmika has been saying that The Girlfriend is one of her best films to date and that everyone will be pleasantly surprised by the conflict in the story.
