Ravanaprabhu: Mohanlal's hit sequel of Devaasuram to re-release on this date

Malayalam film, Ravanaprabhu, will be hitting the big screen once again soon. The box office hit, starring Mohanlal in double role as Mangalassery Neelakandan and M. N. Karthikeyan, will re-release on October 10 in 4k resolution.

The action drama will be shown in theatres alongside Mathew Thomas' Night Riders if it is released on the specified date. Recently, a number of Mohanlal's finest movies were re-released, and they had a good run in theatres. 

On June 6 this year, his cult favourite Chotta Mumbai made a comeback to theatres. The entertaining action drama, which debuted on the big screen in 2007, was celebrated by both cinema buffs and the actor's fans. The movie went well in theatres for a month even though there weren't many screens in the entire state. Likewise, Ravanaprabhu, the highest-grossing Malayalam film in 2001, is anticipated to bring many of the Malayalam superstar's fans to theatres.

Ravanaprabhu plot and other details

It is a fitting follow-up to IV Sasi's Devaasuram. Several characters from this 1993 movie returned to Ravanprabhu reprising their roles. For example, Napoleon played Mundackal Shekharan again in this movie, which was helmed by Ranjith. In this action thriller, which also starred Vasundhara Das, Siddique, Innocent, Jagadish, Vijayaraghavan, Manoj K Jayan, and Sai Kumar in important roles, Revathi had a brief appearance as Bhanumathi.

The protagonist of the tale is Karthikeyan, who succeeds in becoming a businessman, while his father, Mangalassery Neelakandan is in precarious financial situation over time. Since Neelan disapproves of his son's approaches, their connection becomes strained. An prominent industrialist named Mundakkal Shekaran Nambiar still holds Neelan accountable for cutting off his hand years ago. Meanwhile, Shekaran chooses to take away their house that was held as a bank mortgage in order to seek revenge on the father and son. The main plot point of the film is if Karthikeyan will recover Mangalassery Tharavadu and accept his love for Shekaran's daughter.
