Ever since the promo videos of Vishwak Sen's Das Ka Dhamki were out, there were comparisons between the film and Ravi Teja-starrer Dhamaka which turned out to be a super hit a few months ago. Interestingly, both the movies have similarities in title and Prasanna Kumar Bezawada has written for the two projects.

However, the strange comparison didn't end there. Movie lovers, who excitedly went to watch Das Ka Dhamki which was released today in Sukanya theatre in Vizag, were baffled when Dhamaka was screened by mistake. Quite surprised with the theatre management's lackadaisical attitude, they started shouting and whistling, and asked the operator to play the Vishwak Sen-starrer.

A short video clip from the theatre which has the audience reacting to the unexpected surprise has been doing the rounds on social media. Cinephiles have expressed shock at the never-before-heard incident and Twitterati have a field day as they come up with various memes and trolls.

During the press meet of Das Ka Dhamki, Vishwak was asked about the similarities both the movies share, and the actor had pointed out that his film would be different when compared to Ravi Teja's blockbuster which hit the screens last year.

Das Ka Dhamki is Vishwak's second directorial venture after Falaknuma Das which was released in 2019. Apart from being one of the producers of the movie, he has also essayed dual roles in it. Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh and Tharun Bhascker have played pivotal roles in the project which has cinematography by Dinesh K Babu and editing by Anwar Ali.

The initial plan of makers was to release the film in February and in multiple languages, but they postponed the release to March and decided to focus only on the Telugu version.
