A source close to the production house reveals that the makers are currently holding talks with other platforms to lock an OTT deal, but not many are interested, as the film was trolled brutally and ended as a disaster at the box office.
However, the makers are still in touch with Netflix and are negotiating the price simultaneously. The source goes on to add that there is a chance of Mass Jathara being sold for a relatively lower amount than what the makers expected, as they have no choice but to sell the rights and minimise losses.
The Ravi Teja-starrer, directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, did not even make Rs 15 crore at the box office, which is disappointing for any Ravi Teja film. Fans are upset that Ravi Teja is doing the same kind of films and is not trying anything new. However, in one of his interviews, Ravi Teja stated that whenever he tried something new in films like Nenithe, those films ended as huge flops, and that is the reason he is doing only commercial entertainers.

With Mass Jathara, Sreeleela also scores another flop, and her stardom appears to be slowly fading away. Mass Jathara was the second time she was teaming up with Ravi Teja, after Dhamaka, and a lot was expected from their combo, but that did not happen. The makers have seen losses close to Rs 20 crore. Given all this, one thing is certain: the OTT release date of Maa Jathara will be delayed.
