Regina first look: Sunainaa plays a never-before-seen badass character in this revenge thriller

A few months ago, makers of Sunainaa-starrer Regina had announced that the actress will play a mysterious character in the film, which is billed as a revenge thriller. They have now announced its first look poster. Venkat Prabhu has unveiled its Tamil poster while Aashiq Abu has released the Malayalam poster.

Regina, which has Mollywood filmmaker Domin D Silva at its helm, will release in Telugu and Kannada as well. Pyppin Chuvattile Pranayam and Star (both streaming on Amazon Prime Video) are the Malayalam movies which he has directed before.

Sathish Nair, who has produced the movie under Yellow Bear Production, has also composed music. The film's story revolves around a housewife who sets out to take revenge against a few people who destroy her dreams. How she executes her plan forms the rest of the story.

The first look released by the team features Sunainaa, seen sporting stylish goggles, holding a gun in her left hand and showing middle finger to someone with her right hand. This is the first time the actress is essaying an unapologetically badass character.   

Along with Sathish, Joe has also composed music for the film. The song recording for the project is currently going on at a brisk pace in Singapore. Yugabarathi, Vivek Velmurugan, Vijayan Vincent and Ijaas R have jointly penned lyrics for songs which will be released in all the four languages.

Pavi K Pavan has cranked the camera for Regina which has Kamarutheen at the helm of art direction. Dobi John has edited the film, the release date of which will be announced soon. Regina marks the first film of Sunaina in a lead role; it is also her first multilingual project. Last seen in a significant role in Sillu Karupatti (streaming on Netflix), she will next be seen in Laththi opposite Vishal.
