Retro, the upcoming Tamil film starring Vaaranam Aayiram actor Suriya in the lead role, is all set for release. The film will hit theatres on May 1, and the makers have already begun the promotions. Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro is a romantic action drama. The advance bookings for the film have begun with the overseas theatres starting ticket sales. However, the Suriya-starrer film has locked its FDFS timings, with shows, including overseas, scheduled to start at 9 AM IST.

Retro FDFS timings: Suriya’s film locks standard time across world; no early shows for overseas audience

Suriya-starrer Retro is an important film in the actor’s career, especially after his previous film Kanguva did not do well at the box office. With much anticipation on Retro, the film is directed by filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, who made his debut with Pizza.

On Wednesday, the makers announced that the advance bookings for the film have begun in the US, while revealing the FDFS timings. All the FDFS shows of Retro across the world will begin at the same time, that is, 9 AM IST. This means there will be no early shows for the overseas audience, and everyone across the world will watch the film at the same time. The advance bookings for Retro in India are expected to begin very soon.

Retro cast and crew 

Starring actors Pooja Hegde of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo fame, Joju George, Jayaram, Nassar, Prakash Raj, and Karunakaran, Retro is a romantic action drama, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The music is scored by Santhosh Narayanan, with Shreyaas Krishna cranking the camera. Shafique Mohamed Ali is the editor.

Retro marks the first time Suriya is working with Karthik Subbaraj. The film is produced by the actor and Jyotika under 2D Entertainment.
