The countdown to the trailer launch of Action Prince Dhruva Sarja’s Martin has begun. The film, directed by AP Arjun and produced by Uday K Mehta is set to release in theatres on October 11, in the run-up to which, the team had launched a portal to conduct polls to decide the order in which they will release promotional material. The first poll that was conducted recently went in favour of the trailer, which, as the team then revealed is only the first one, with more to follow.
Although a teaser of Martin had been revealed long ago, with publicity now in full swing, this is the first major event for the film. The first trailer of Martin, which has been dubbed in multiple languages, will be launched in Mumbai on August 5 at a media event that will see representation from across the globe. The trailer has been censored and its run-time is actually quite interesting.
Trailer 1 has been cut for a sum total of 2 minutes and 7 seconds only, which, as it turns out, is even less than the action-packed teaser that came out in February last year. According to the censor certificate, the trailer has several instances of expletives being muted.
Martin is based on a story and screenplay by Dhruva’s uncle and actor, Action King Arjun Sarja. While not much is known about the plot, it involves an India-Pakistan conflict, with Dhruva playing a character called Arjun. The question about the identity of Martin is what the film is about. Dhruva is paired with Vaibhavi Shandilya, with Anveshi Jain in a pivotal role. Nikitin Dheer is the main antagonist, in the film that also stars Achyuth Kumar, Malavika Avinash, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna, Nawab Shah and Girija Lokesh, among other.
