It is known that the Tamil remake of Badhaai Ho, which starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles, has been happening at a brisk pace in Coimbatore. The film, which is said to have titled Veetla Visheshanga, has RJ Balaji and Aparna Balamurali playing the leads. Balaji took to Twitter to inform his followers and movie lovers that the project has been wrapped up and thanked the people of Coimbatore for the cooperation and warmth.

He also posted a video which is shot with a drone. His tweet read, "It’s a WRAP for #TeamRJB3 !!! 40 days !!! Thank you God, my wonderful team and the people of Coimbatore for an amazing shooting experience..! We promise you, one of the biggest family entertainers of 2022."

Producer Boney Kapoor, who bankrolled Vinoth's Ajith-starrers Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai, is producing the remake, which marks the third outing of Balaji as the protagonist. He has helmed the project along with NJ Saravanan after their debut collaboration for Mookuthi Amman, which had Nayanthara playing an extended cameo. Sathyaraj and Oorvasi will be seen essaying the role of Balaji's parents in the movie, which was enacted by Gajraj Rao and Sheeba Chaddha respectively in the Hindi version.

Yogi Babu had posted a photo along with Balaji recently from the film's shooting location and informed that he will be playing a cameo in the movie. While LKG, the first film which had Balaji playing the lead, was a successful film which hit the screens in 2019, Mookuthi Amman had a direct premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.

The makers of Veetla Visheshanga are yet to come up with an announcement on the film's release plans. Balaji, who is said to join hands with acclaimed director Ram, has MS Arjun's long-delayed project, the Prabhudheva-starrer Yung Mung Sung also in his kitty.
