Veetla Visesham, starring RJ Balaji in the lead, is hitting the screens on June 17. An official remake of Bollywood flick Badhaai Ho, it has been directed by Balaji himself along with NJ Saravanan. The first single from the film, Daddy Song, was released recently. As the team is about to unveil its second single, Paapa Paattu, Balaji has come up with a unique video to promote the movie.
He chose to read out some of the abusive tweets against him on Twitter and answered a few questions for fun's sake. One of them opined that his commentary as a host during sports events isn't impressive, while another Twitter user asked him to speak slowly while interacting with others. He was also asked why Sanya Malhotra was not chosen to play the female lead in the remake version.
Balaji said that the story is set in Coimbatore in Veetla Vishesham, and that someone like Sanya reprising her role in the Tamil version may not go down well as far as the nativity factor is concerned.
Another follower of his asked him why he chose to remake the film which is already available on Disney+ Hotstar, to which he said that he was impressed with the original version and wanted to recreate it for the Tamil audience.
A sincere fan of his complained that he has been making unnecessary comments during the commentary of this season of IPL, to which, he replied that he had made such comments in the previous season, and that there are many who like his talking style.
Aparna Balamurali, Urvashi, Sathyaraj and KPAC Lalitha play pivotal characters in Veetla Vishesham which has music by Girishh Gopalakrishnan, editing by Selva RK and cinematography by Karthik Muthukumar.
