Rocketry, Madhavan's acclaimed film on ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, to drop on OTT soon?

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, starring Madhavan in the lead, hit the screens on July 1 in Tamil and Hindi. The film, which also marked the debut of the versatile actor, opened to positive response from critics and movie lovers as well. The screenplay, performances of actors and emotional scenes are a few aspects which received a thumbs up from the audience. 

We had reported earlier that Amazon Prime Video had bagged the digital rights of the movie which is based on the life of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan who was accused of espionage in the early 1990s.

However, an official announcement on the film's OTT premiere date is yet to be made. Going by the response for the movie, it looks like it will take a while for the makers to announce the digital premiere. The other day, a movie buff asked Madhavan on Twitter if he is planning to release the project on OTT soon, to which the actor-filmmaker replied, "Nope not now (sic)."

Another film lover said that he's elated with the movie garnering good response among the audience, and that he's looking forward to watching it from a nearby city or on OTT.

Madhavan, who has been patiently answering to almost all tweets from the day the film released, replied, "I think you should watch it in the theater. I promise you it’s worth it (sic)." A few celebrities, too, have been going gaga over the narration and making of Rocketry.

Rajinikanth was one among them; he took to Twitter to appreciate Madhavan for taking up a project about Nambi's life story and congratulated him for the positive messages that are pouring in. Hrithik Roshan, AR Rahman and Anirudh Ravichander are a few other celebs who went gaga over the movie.
