Karan Johar's romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, is unstoppable at the box office. The movie, which released on July 28, has earned over Rs 90 crore in India and is on a track to cross 100 crore shortly. 

The movie had a tough competition with two Hollywood biggies, Oppenheimer and Barbie, which were released a week before it, but RARKPK found an audience and has been creating waves since its release. Following its release, the film directed by Karan Johar grew in popularity thanks to amazing word-of-mouth. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 90.58 crore. 

Rocky and Rani In Kii Prem Kahaani is a story of two young lovers from distinct backgrounds and cultures who deal with a variety of issues from their families. Additionally playing important roles in the movie are seasoned actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Aamir Bashir, Churni Ganguly, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Kshitee Jog. Both critics and audience have praised the movie for its interesting plot, compelling acting and catchy soundtrack.

It is anticipated that Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani will keep up its momentum at the box office over the next few days and shortly reach the exclusive Rs 100 crore club. The forthcoming Independence Day weekend is also anticipated to be favourable for the movie.

Written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, is produced by Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions. It is directed by Karan Johar who got back into the director's seat after his last release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016.
