Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl were in a relationship but they parted ways three years ago. Their break-up, however, hasn't affected their friendship. Rohman continues to be on good terms with Sushmita and her daughters - Renee and Alisah. In a recent interview, the model-turned-actor reacted to the public scrutiny around his bond with Sushmita. Rohman mentioned that he isn't affected by what people say about him.

In an interview with SCREEN, Rohman spoke about the scrutiny around his connection with Sushmita Sen. The actress recently revealed that she has been single for three years now. "I am very blessed because what people say or think about me, doesn’t affect me. I know my truth and I am very honest to myself. What people have to say is their call. They want to say good, bad or whatever, it doesn’t affect me," said Rohman.

The model-turned-actor added that he stands by the things he has done in his life. "If somebody can’t see that, it is their problem, the onus can’t be on me," he added. Shawl further spoke about his bond with Sushmita and her daughters. They are often spotted together at various events.
"I’ve always said that we have been like family. We may not live together or not talk for months, but whenever they need me, I will always be there. So, there are no two questions about it," mentioned Rohman.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rohman Shawl made his acting debut in the Tamil film industry. He starred in the movie Amaran. He mentioned that he wanted people to see his work in the film and know what he is capable of. In this film, Rohman played a negative character. The model-turned-actor was 'blown away' by the idea of playing an antagonist. "It kind of intrigued me because I took it as a challenge," he revealed.
