For the still unversed, DADP is the acronym for Do Aur Do Pyaar!

Film: Qarib Qarib Singlle
Producer: Zee Studios, Sutapa Sikdar, Shailja Kejriwal, Ajay G. Rai
Director: Tanuja Chandra
Starcast: Irrfan Khan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Neha Dhupia

Story plot: This is one film which will never get outdated, majorly for three reasons. First, because of the film’s lead actor- legendary Irrfan Khan, secondly, it’s the story premise and the third factor is its extremely simple direction, without resorting to any over the top tactics in the storyline!

The film is all about the lives led by Jaya Shashidharan (Parvathy Thiruvothu) and Yogendra Kumar Devendra Nath Prajapati aka Yogi (Irrfan Khan) for short. Jaya starts leading a lonely life after the sudden death of her husband Manav. At the insistence of her near and dear ones, she lands up creating a profile on a dating site.

Here too, she gets an array of messages from many who like her. That’s when Yogi steps in and bails her out of the random messages’ situation. Given a chance, Yogi lands up telling Jaya about his three affairs who are still eager to meet him and yearn for him. Not the one to believe him even a bit, Jaya tells Yogi that she wil now accompany him to meet those three ladies!

The film’s storyline revolves around the relationship that the film’s leading couple Paramveer and Jasmeet have.

Even though hailing from varied backgrounds, Paramveer and Jasmeet fall in love with each other, despite the fact that the latter’s parents won’t approve of their relationship. At the same time, Jasmeet likes her independence the same amount she loves her parents. Life takes an unexpected turn when the country ‘visits’ their loves and vice versa!

Film: Bareilly Ki Barfi
Producer: Vineet Jain, Renu Ravi Chopra
Director: Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari
Starcast: Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao

Story plot:
As the title suggests, the film’s story premise has been set in Bareilly, the very place which forms the domain of the tomboyish kind of girl Bitti Mishra. Thanks to multiple attempts at arranged marriages, she runs away from her residence. Just as when she is waiting for the train, she starts reading a book called Bareilly Ki Barfi. And to her shock, she realises that her life and the life of the book’s character is almost the same.

Bitti, then, lands up tracking the book’s author, only to find out that the said man does not live in the written address. It is here, enters Chirag, a dynamic young man who also happens to be the owner of the printing press. Will he prove to be the proverbial catalyst in the life of Bitti Mishra is what forms the rest of the film.

The film revolves around the loves of the ‘dilli ka launda’ Mudit Sharma (Ayushmann Khurrana) and the Gurugram ki laundi Sugandha Joshi (Bhumi Pednekar) and their love story. After all the failed attempts to talk to Sugandha, Mohit decides to impress her with an online proposal.

Not the one to take an impromptu decision about her marriage and the future life, Sugandha takes her time to reply to his proposal. Post that, a shockingly formal marriage proposal gets exchanged between the two families! What happens after this, forms the rest of the film!

Story plot:
First things first. Thanks to the extremely relatable story plot of the film, it is still relevant in today’s time and age! The film’s premise mirrors the life and lifestyle of Laddoo (Vivaan Shah), an extremely ambitious middle class ambitious young man, who harbors aspirations to become at par with the legacy of great men like Tatas and Birlas. As a step in that direction, he relocates to Vadodara, the place where one could find him working as a waiter in his father's friend's café- Kabir’s café.

Life takes a U-turn when he gets a chance to serve the cafes’ most stunning and regular customer Laali (Akshara Haasan). Will his infatuation towards Laali pave way for love and what happens to the two in the end is what forms the rest of the film!
